Rescheduled! Eastward Ho (MC to New Buffalo)

Hello cruiser class!
Good news: The Weather looks pretty nice for next weekend’s Eastward Ho rescheduled races. 80 degrees on Saturday with 5-10 winds. Of course, around here you can never look 1 week out and expect it to not change, especially this time of year!
Start Time Changes: In an attempt to get as many people to participate, we have pushed the start time back to its original 3 pm start time. This will allow several skippers who want to come who are racing that morning to still make our event too. I always want to err on the side of having as many people participate as possible, if possible. This should increase our # of boats coming to NB with us, which will make the racing and the social time all the better.
Here are the revised event notes:
September 13-14 is our annual Eastward Ho races to and from New Buffalo.
Saturday’s Race: On the 13th, we will have a quick skippers meeting at 2 pm CT, followed by a 3 pm CT start pursuit race to New Buffalo. Saturday’s race is a PURSUIT RACE. Which means everyone will have a different start time. The idea being we end at the finish line and everyone’s rating has been augmented already to account and we end at the same time, first over the line wins. If you plan to race, PLEASE LET ME KNOW so I can make sure you get an augmented start time for Saturday.
Saturday night: Potluck. Bring something to share and a beverage for yourself. We’ll grill burgers at the dock and have some social time.
NOTE: If for some reason, you cannot get to the skipper’s meeting, for whatever reason, no problem! Just make sure I know you are coming, and I’ll make sure you have your start time ahead of the race. Race committee will be on 71 if you have questions. If you cannot make the race or want to just sail over early, feel free to do that too. The more people we can get to just go and have fun at the end of this year would be great!
Sunday’s Race: On the 14th, we will race home around 9 or 10 am to Michigan City.
Each of these races counts as a normal race, and we will score them accordingly.
Slips: AND BE SURE TO GET A SLIP IN NEW BUFFALO FOR THE NIGHT. There were still many slips available when I reserved mine last night. I believe several of the other boats have also moved their reservations.
